A track record of innovation and development since 2016.
- PolaireTech is a technology company that supplies technology for the construction of small-scale, standardized, modular plants for the liquefaction of natural gas.
- PolaireTech operates in various markets utilising local subsidiaries for example: Africa, North America, and India, responsible for the marketing, selling, manufacture, supply and install PolaireTech small-scale LNG (ssLNG) plants in their respective regions.
- PolaireTech and its regional partners are able to deliver the full solution to our clients from feasibility, scoping, engineering design, manufacture, supply, operation and distribution.

Our Story
PolaireTech Over the Years
2016-2018
Innovation milestones
Gasconsult Limited developed zero-refrigerant LNG technology (ZR-LNG) for small and mid-scale applications, supported by Innovate UK. Partnering with Owner Team Consultation, they studied coal-bed methane in Botswana, confirming project viability by mid-2018 with a projected 7-year payback period, a key milestone in LNG innovation.
2019-2021
From vision to reality
From the prefeasibility study backed by Innovate UK, Owner Team Consultation (OTC) conceived PolaireTech. Partnering with Gasconsult, they licensed small-scale LNG plants, formed a key alliance with DyCat Solutions, and developed modularization concepts, technical designs, and detailed business plans. This transformative journey signifies a leap into a new era of efficient small-scale LNG solutions.
2022
The birth of PolaireTech International
Incorporated in Canada in 2022, PolaireTech International, led by 12 visionary private shareholders with OTC and DyCat affiliations, saw a pivotal moment when process flow diagrams were streamlined, reducing capital costs while maintaining efficiency, giving birth to Z1-LNG technology. Despite limited initial interest due to a preference for LNG projects, PolaireTech persisted, undergoing a redesign that marked the beginning of a remarkable journey.
2023 Onwards
EPC Partnership with Proconics
In 2023, PolaireTech partnered with Proconics for detailed design and cost estimation of LNG plants, offering equity in return. A 5 ktpa proof-of-concept facility is planned in South Africa, boosting PolaireTech’s marketing. The search for a corporate investor intensifies, led by a dedicated project manager.
Innovate UK is the UK’s national innovation agency, supporting business-led innovation in all sectors, technologies, and regions across the UK. The seeds of PolaireTech were sown in 2017 when Gasconsult, in collaboration with OTC, demonstrated the commercial and technical feasibility of ZR-LNG in unlocking energy from gas resources in the Central District of Botswana.
